Yeah, i love this sport.
quite a bit, actually.
i mainly love it because i become friends with most people i would not normally talk to.
first you have the jock: the jock only hangs out with other jocks. doesn't really care about school, just sports. works their butt off and is super aggressive not taking any prisoners.
next is the nerd: the nerd likes sports but always focuses on their academics 170%. they are popular enough to not having boring Friday nights but they aren't the "talk" of the school.
now the skaters: the skaters wear the skinny jeans, band t-shirts, doesn't really like school. is popular, have lots of skaterish friends. and randomly plays a sport. they aren't to shabby either.
now the popular one: the popular one gets all the guys, is gorgeous, skinny as a stick, and is a total girly girl.
lastly the goof: personally i think i fit into this one and the nerd categories the best. this person cracks a joke every second, does really well in school, plays sports, isn't necessarily the greatest but always makes sure everyone has fun. they are friends with everyone.
if you were from a totally different group I'd bet most of you wouldn't go up to the popular one and hang out and talk.
but after lacrosse seniors talk to freshman, populars talk to nerds. it's wonderful. and then your regular friends give you a dirty look and ask questions. i love that. we are a GIANT family on and off the field and are not afraid to show it. now this happens with almost any sport, because I've always noticed it more in lacrosse. if i wasn't for lacrosse i wouldn't talk to half of these amazing girls. and I'm so grateful. <3
gosh, i can't wait to get into full swing of this fantastic season ahead <3
p.s. picture is from last season. guess which one i am. <3
