Life has been good. I can't complain.
But I CAN complain about school. Because that HASN'T been so good. But this is a positive and happy blog so, forget that.
Tomorrow I'm going to see my best friend Becky!! I'm leaving school early and my Father and I are driving to PA and watch her basketball tournament that we do every year! I love her and it's shame we only see each other 2 or 3 times a year. But we write letters, e-mails, facebook, and talk on the phone every day. YAY! I'm so excited!
My 9th grade Honors Global teacher is organizing a trip to Italy the summer of 2011. A month before LeakyCon. I spoke with my parents and they think it would be an amazing opportunity (heck yeah!) and I've convinced them to go to the informational meeting next Wednesday! It would cost around $2,000 but if I get this job at camp this summer I will make $2,000 soooo. The only REAL problem with this trip is LeakyCon is the same summer. That's a lot of money. And I have to pay for LeakyCon (most of it). I'm definitely going to Leaky now, I think! Whoop! I'm just got to think how I'm going to tell my parents about you guys before hand because it would be so weird if I saw Blaze in the bathroom to the hotel with my Mom and we both freaked out and she's like *evil glare* "How do you two know each other?"
So I'm praying and hoping I get the amazing opportunity to go to Italy next summer. Only the Honors Global classes are being given this chance (9th and 10th graders) because everyone else will be graduated and we're the most behaved. You won't want to take a bad kid, ya know? I guess he wants to bring 20 people and lots of 9th graders interested and "signed up" like 11 or so and these past few days I've heard like 30 10th graders saying their going so I'm just going to sit back, save money, and see what happens.
I ordered a John.
LeakyCon looks promising.
Becky, my best friend, won't be working at camp this summer and I told myself I wouldn't work without her but, today I realized I would. I really will if I get the job. I'm going to be filling out my applications right after this is posted!!
If I don't get the job at camp, which is extremely possible, I think I'll speak to my Mother about working at the library. I know the director on a first name bases. My Mother works for him, he comes to Christmas/Easter dinner sometimes since he has no family around here. So it's not like I'd be super nervous, I'd fit in. I know everyone who works there and I know what to do. I've volunteered before and my freakin' Mother has worked there my whole life! I'm a library pro. But I promised myself when I was volunteering last summer, that I would never work there in my entire life because I hated it so much and I honestly would rather jump off a bridge. But if I don't work at camp, I might have to.
A few months ago I posted this:
"Accio Books!
Saturday, March 27th 2:00-5:00pm, The Auditorium
Celebrate the Harry Potter Alliance's month long book drive by joining them at their grand finale, which will include music, activities and a magical time."
As you know it IS going to be a wrock concert. I KNEW IT! MWHAHAH. LAUREN FAIRWEATHER WILL BE THERE, AND MATT, AND DATM, AND SWISH AND FLICK, and more. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! My first wrock concert. I'm so excited. And I was searching the event list on Facebook and almost everyone who is going is a nerdfighter! I will make IRL nerdfighter/hp friends! And I've already added some of them on Facebook and we talked about John/Hank/LeakyCon11. Yay!
Lacrosse starts on Thursday! This local Divison 1 college runs some of our practices and since we have snow everywhere we're going to the college on their beautiful turf for our first practice! I'm so excited! (I want to play in college).
That's a quick update on things.
I'm a very happy girl.
Are you happy?
