Today I was reading in Spanish after the test.
My teacher comes to me to collect my test and she picks up my bookmark (front says: '50 Books in a year.' the back countdown from 50 then says complete.) She goes "Wow, that's a great goal!"
I was like "Yeah, but I have so many more to read."
Her: "Why are you doing this?"
Me: "Mainly to beat my friend Katy."
Her: "Well, I hope she loses!"

Tomorrow is SEE YOU AT THE POLE (SYATP).
syatp is basically where students/teachers go to the school flag pole and pray. For everything.
Teachers, tests, the government, friends, and the nation.
It's a really uplifting experience.
At our school we do it at 7am when everyone is getting off the bus.
We aren't making a statement, we aren't having a political rally, we're doing this for us and for God.
SYATP happens the fourth Wednesday every September.
When we're holding hands praying the kids just walk by, some join, some laugh.
It's all part of the experience.
I really strongly encourage you to take part, maybe your school is doing it tomorrow and you don't even know. Start it up yourself, I promise you, it will make you day/week SO MUCH BETTER.
If no one wants to pray anymore, we also sing. :D

50+ books in a year is one of the best things I've ever done.
Yay for your teacher being awesome! <3
